Between enchanting tenderness and brutality, between the fires of the underworld and the coldest mists of the North, that is the essence known as WINTERHORDE. Founded in 2002 in Northern Israel, the progressive extreme metal group has evolved and strives to become something greater with every chord they play and record. Only the sky is the limit. Whether through the ancient arts of blackened metal or the jewels of progression, WINTERHORDE is on its way to becoming the next thing of articulated extremity.

WINTERHORDE had the great pleasure and privilege of performing with some of the greatest metal bands such as JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT, W.A.S.P, DIMMU BORGIR, KEEP OF KALESSIN, AMORPHIS, SATYRICON, and many more on the stages of various European festivals like 'Metal Days,' 'Rockstadt Extreme Fest,' 'OST Mountain Fest,' 'Metalhead Meeting,' 'Maximum Rock,' and 'Metal Yard.'

WINTERHORDE paved their way into the progressive mannerism of extreme metal and released their debut Album 'Nebula' (2006, Burning Star Records), followed by a complete European tour with the Finnish black meheighters CATAMENIA. The second Album, 'Underwatermoon' (2010, Twilight Distribution), was recorded and produced by V. Santura (DARK FORTRESS, OBSCURA, PARADOX, TRYPTIKON). In early 2016, WINTERHORDE completed one of their adventurous and highly mysterious epics, 'Maestro' (Vicisolum Productions), once again produced by V. Santura and mastered by Jens Bogren. Critics and fans welcomed the third studio Album 'Maestro,' released in May 2016.

Six years later, WINTERHORDE is ready for the next challenge. Full of energy and with a new, overwhelming lineup, WINTERHORDE has completed work on their new fourth studio Album, 'Neptunian.'

In June 2022, the single 'The Greatest Plague of Earth' was released.
