Is there something that the Irish and Franconians have in common? Quite a lot! First and foremost, there is a very special attachment to their homeland and a love for traditions that have been passed down for many generations, both on the Emerald Isle and in the red and white Franconian region. In addition, there is a certain likable stubbornness, taking matters into one's own hands. And last but not least, a nearly death-defying sociability, with which both the Irish and the Franconians celebrate life with all its ups and downs. These are the qualities that Fiddler's Green have been combining in their captivating high-power sound for more than three decades. Since its foundation in 1990, the sextet from Erlangen has earned the status as one of the most popular, successful, and enduring formations within the European folk rock community. A well-oiled Irish speedfolk machine, which now presents itself at the zenith of its creative work with its new studio album 'The Green Machine'!

Already during the work on their last three albums, the idea for 'The Green Machine' began to develop in parallel, mature, and eventually lead a life of its own. Together with the proven producer Jörg Umbreit (In Extremo, Grave Digger, Die Toten Hosen), Fiddler's Green created a vibrant organism over the past 36 months in the seclusion of the renowned Principal Studios near Münster, which now presents the band from its most varied and complex side. Over the course of twelve songs, the band spans a stylistic range from their beloved full-throttle party sound to touching ballads and more pop-oriented pieces, as well as driving mid-tempo rockers and even country and western-influenced tracks that have not been heard from the Erlangen musicians in this form before. 50 Shades of Green, so to speak, in which Fiddler's Green combine plenty of energy with unparalleled attention to detail and high-proof storytelling.
