Lynyrd Skynyrd - the one true southern rock band. Combining both charismatic live performances and lots of hits made them one of the greatest live bands ever. In 1977, the band was part of a devastating plane disaster which tragically caused the deaths of three band members and two members of the crew. However, in 1987 the surviving musicians reformed the band gaining Johnny Van Zant as the new vocalist - thus taking the place of his brother. This concert from 1996 shows the band at the Loreley Festival at their best with an amazing set list. Now this concert is released as an audio version for the first time in the form of both a double LP and a DVD & 2-CD in Digipak version. As a special treat for all Lynyrd Skynyrd fans there are further tracks enclosed which were recorded in the Markthalle in Hamburg on December 5th, 1974. These songs, Working For MCA", "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama", are performed by the original line up.
